Council approves maintenance‑shop remodel bid, biological assessment contract and ARPA disbursement agreement

Benton City council approved three resolutions during the Oct. 21 meeting.
Resolution 2025‑51 (maintenance‑shop remodel): Staff presented a recommendation to award the Phase 1 remodel to J & A Interior/Exterior Pro LLC as the low bidder for $141,000. Staff said the project budget is $300,000 and that remaining funds will be used for a later phase (pole building). The council moved (S5), seconded (S7) and approved the award by voice vote.
Resolution 2025‑52 (biological assessment services): Council approved an award to Apex Companies LLC to provide required environmental/biological assessment services for the railroad‑bridge project. Staff noted work will be held until federal reimbursement channels are available after the government shutdown. The motion was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Resolution 2025‑53 (ARPA disbursement agreement): Council authorized the mayor to sign a disbursement agreement with Benton County to extend prior ARPA fund exchanges that support city projects (e.g., Lehi Station). The council moved, seconded and approved the authorization.
All three resolutions were approved during the meeting; staff will proceed with contract award and scheduling of scope work consistent with the federal reimbursement timeline where applicable.
