The sale and the purchase are linked in council discussion as part of capacity and facility planning with the fire district.
The council also authorized an interlocal agreement permitting Snohomish County Fire Protection District 17 periodic use of the City’s Community Center at 116 S. Granite Ave. and authorized the City Manager to execute the agreement.
All three motions passed unanimously. The council did not specify the funding source for the purchase or any renovation budget at the meeting; staff follow-up will be required to identify financing, timelines for renovation and any required permits.
