Council recognizes 16 long‑service city employees at work session

The city manager said the week’s themed events were designed to make recognition accessible across departments and to celebrate employees without requiring staff to take time out of their work day. Honoree Ryan Andrews thanked the council, the planning commission and his family, and said he takes pride in serving the community.
Council members offered brief appreciation remarks and staff said they will continue department‑level recognitions at staff meetings so colleagues receive recognition with their peers.
