State aeronautics commission honors McMinnville airport; Warren County commission recognized

The Warren County Commission accepted state recognition from the Tennessee Aeronautics Commission for its management of the McMinnville airport.
Wayne Oberman, chairman of the Tennessee Aeronautics Commission, congratulated the county and described the importance of rural airports across Tennessee, saying the state has 76 public-use airports and citing over 1.4 million general aviation operations statewide. "Again, my name is Wayne Oberman. I'm the chairman of Tennessee Aeronautics Commission, and I want to congratulate all of you on this award," Oberman said.
Commissioners and airport staff noted the award reflects a team effort and encouraged a photo with commission members and aeronautics officials. Airport staff also reported a restart of monthly breakfast events beginning the third Saturday of the month through November.
The commission thanked the aeronautics delegation for attending, noted the airport's local economic role and moved on to routine departmental reports.
