The Forks City Council voted on July 14 to hold a Special Meeting on Monday, July 21 at 7:30 p.m. to consider a proposed lease for the Forks Industrial Park.
Attorney/Planner Fleck told the council there is not yet a lease to review; he said staff expects to have a lease for the council to act on at the Special Meeting when one is available. The motion to schedule the meeting was made by Council Member Soha, seconded by Council Member Gingell, and carried.
The lease and any proposed improvements were discussed in general terms but no lease language or financial terms were presented at the July 14 meeting. The Special Meeting is intended to provide a focused agenda for reviewing the lease when staff and negotiators can present the draft agreement and related documents.
Next steps: the council will consider the draft lease and any proposed improvements at the July 21 Special Meeting; no formal lease action occurred at the July 14 meeting.
