Project manager Mariela Mejia said the work will extend Foothill Boulevard to connect to Kraft, convert Gaethje into a cul-de-sac, and add a traffic signal at Main and Kraft to improve traffic flow and reduce accidents. The team is at roughly 30% design and is awaiting environmental approval before soliciting bids; Mejia said the team hopes to begin bidding within months and complete the project by 2028. "We are going to be installing a traffic signal...We are hoping to do that bidding, as soon as possible, hopefully, in the next few months," Mejia said.
Council approved the task order and directed staff to proceed with environmental clearance and procurement steps.
