Saratoga County Board approves routine resolutions, budget amendments and grant acceptances

The Saratoga County Board of Supervisors approved a bundle of routine resolutions at its March 18 meeting, adopting proclamations, authorizing intergovernmental agreements and accepting multiple grants with budget amendments described in the resolutions.

Clerks read resolutions introduced by Public Safety, Health and Human Services, Economic Development, Trails and Open Space, Airport Improvement, Public Works, and other committees. Notable budget items listed in the readings included a transfer of $23,013.27 from the economic development grant reserve (Resolution 73), a transfer of $12,500 from the County Trails Development Reserve (Resolution 74), and acceptance of $8,956 in snowmobile trail grant funding (Resolution 75). Several resolutions authorized agreements for senior legal services, senior transportation and amendments to professional service contracts related to pavement preservation and habitat monitoring.

One supervisor asked whether the aid-to-prosecution funds referenced in Resolution 89 are paid as a stipend or as a permanent adjustment to salary; staff replied that those funds are distributed as a stipend. The board then voted by roll call to approve the package.

The package also included proclamations designating April 2026 for Child Abuse Prevention Month and Youth Month and recognizing National Crime Victims Rights Week and Donate Life Month. Staff reported correspondence items, including the appointment of Britney L. Gray as deputy county clerk (effective Feb. 27, 2026), and noted a written public comment related to an animal emergency received from a Galway resident.

The board approved the resolutions without extended debate; the vote was recorded by roll call.
