Council approves supplemental budget additions including railroad crossing funds

Budget coordinator and grant administrator Hannah Murgalot told the council the supplemental request was updated from $24,000 to $24,500 to ensure sufficient budget for the railroad crossing removal project; the supplemental also adds $80,500 to the tourism fund consistent with the tax advisory committee's recommendations (SEG 1965'; SEG 1974').
Council moved and approved Ordinance 2039-0226; the reading and motion to adopt the ordinance were recorded and the motion carried with "Aye" responses (SEG 1994'; SEG 1996'). Staff said the supplemental adds budget for projects and programs that were not available at the time of the 2026 budget adoption.
Next steps: staff will implement the budget changes and update financial tracking to reflect the supplemental appropriations.
