Council approves CAPER report outlining $703,003 in CDBG funds and allocations

Marshall said the city was awarded $430,672 in CDBG funds plus $47,000 reallocated from prior years, $46,000 carried forward for the home improvement program and $178,000 carried forward for the Los Serranos infrastructure project, yielding a total sum referenced in staff materials. He reported total funds spent during the program year were approximately $501,000, leaving an unspent balance of roughly $201,877 that staff allocated across programs, including home improvement carryover, public service and administration.
Marshall described that 12% of expenditures covered administration (including fair housing services), 10% for public service and 69% spent toward Los Serranos infrastructure (Sierra Vista Drive West and Del Norte Avenue North), which he said is expected to be completed within a few weeks.
No public comments were received on the CAPER and council approved the report by unanimous vote (4–0).
