Redlands council approves routine contracts and event support, including holiday decor and park maintenance

- A five-year renewal for Tyler Technologies’ software maintenance and support for the city’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, not to exceed $586,526; staff said the maintenance is a sole-source procurement from the software manufacturer.
- In-kind support approvals for two community events: Phoenix Hope International’s Redlands Turkey Trot (11/28/2024) with $14,536 in in-kind support and related street closures, and the Redlands Chamber of Commerce’s New Year’s Eve orange drop with $25,778 in in-kind support and temporary street closures.
Council discussed cost-effectiveness of outsourcing turf mowing and confirmed event organizers’ nonprofit status; public commenters questioned the size of some waivers and funding-account transparency. Each item passed on the consent calendar by roll call.
