Covington County introduces new engineer, renews asphalt contract and approves River Bridge subdivision plat

Donaldson recommended approval of the final plat for River Bridge Subdivision (near Gantt); commissioners noted several houses already exist on the plat and moved to approve the final plat based on the engineer's determination that the submission met county regulations. The final-plat motion passed by voice vote.
The commission also directed staff to advertise the annual bids and to proceed with procurement steps for surface-treatment contracts once bids are solicited.
