Several speakers followed with legal citations and recommended remedies, asking the council to “vote promptly for its passage” and to use the council’s influence to pursue verification.
Mayor noted the presentation was not an agendized item and therefore no vote could be taken that night but said staff could put the matter on a future council agenda for consideration. Assistant city staff and council members said they would accept materials and follow up; speakers offered to provide further documentation to staff and law‑enforcement contacts and the city clerk.
Council members and staff did not endorse the factual claims in the resolution during the meeting. The group requested the council consider the resolution at a future meeting and the clerk was directed to take contact information so staff could follow up with the presenters.
