Carla Weiss, county staff, told the board that when the classification was completed about eight years ago, ‘‘the one lateral that was put in did not get into the schedules,’’ and that the lateral (14 lateral 4a) has now been added. She said Jacobson Westergaard prepared the corrective report and performed the work at their expense after the omission was discovered.
The board discussed the changes to watershed boundaries and to the schedules shown in the packet. Weiss said the packet contains the information landowners need to see and that the county will send a copy to each affected landowner ahead of the hearing so they can review estimates and ask questions. A member moved to approve the updated schedules and to set a public hearing for April 28 at 9:01 a.m.; the motion received a second and passed by voice vote.
The hearing will give affected landowners the opportunity to comment on the revised classification and any cost or boundary implications. County staff said they will post the hearing notice on the county website, send the packet to impacted landowners and include the item in the next issue of the paper if feasible.
The board did not adopt any final assessment or expense allocation at the meeting; those matters will be considered at the public hearing.
