Council agrees to reinstate two short-term parking spots on Bridal Street after resident request

"It would be great if you could help the Main Street people that are patronizing the businesses on Main Street by adding 2 additional short term parking spots and reinstating because they were already there," she said.
Council members discussed why the spots had been converted to a no-parking area in the past—council history indicates the change related to delivery truck maneuvering and snow-clearing on the bridge—and noted that Main Street parking is otherwise strictly regulated. After a brief exchange about the prior yellow-painted curb and past clearance concerns, Councilmember Smith moved to approve reinstating the short-term spots; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Council did not attach special restrictions beyond the standard limited-time designation; staff will implement signage and update the parking map.
