The council presented proclamations and awards: a memorial for Janet Marie Story and a proclamation declaring April 2026 Child Abuse Prevention Month (accepted by Juan Solis, a county representative), followed by multiple Women’s History Month recognitions including awards to Rebecca Cisneros, Jacqueline Augustine, Barbara McGee (city clerk) and Anna Gonzales. Anna Gonzales later used oral communications to thank the council for adopting the housing element and said community organizations were mobilizing to help attract affordable‑housing developers.
