On subdivisions, the commission approved a consolidation plat for 220 and 222 2nd Street in Perryville (0.182 acre) to accommodate a potential restaurant, with the applicant represented by Kendall Wise of Vantage Engineering. The commission also approved a subdivision by the estate of Danny Pike for a 61.583-acre parcel at 1375 Carpenters Creek Road in Parksville; staff reported the parcel is zoned agricultural and flagged the floodplain area on the vicinity map.
During the public hearing the applicant for a zoning map amendment (Dale and Lisa Coffey, Lots 47 and 48, Taylor Road, Brights Bend Subdivision) asked to table the item after discovering an incorrect rear lot line next to Kentucky Hydroelectric Company property and Harrington Lake; the commission voted to table the application until the survey is corrected.
Later in the meeting commissioners discussed proposed subdivision-regulation changes (article 2 and article 4) to clarify major/minor plat definitions, limit the frequency a parent tract may be divided within a five-year period, and make utility-signature rules explicit (staff said utility refusal would convert a minor into a major plat). The commission voted to table the broader text-amendment work, directing the advisory committee and staff to refine language and coordinate with fiscal court and stakeholders.
