Commission approves pennants for Ojai World Dance Festival

Staff described the request (S26003) as temporary event signage: 27 pennants in the downtown arcade to promote a May 9 dance production, displayed for up to 14 days (Apr. 27–May 11) and removed on May 12. "Staff is recommending approval as this is temporary… and they are the same size and location as other pennants," Maura Macaluso, principal planner, told the commission.
Isha Gladstone, who identified herself as a board member of Dance Ojai, and Paulina Carey, another board member, explained the event is in its third year and will include a free festival in the park and an evening ticketed show at the Libby Bowl. Commissioner Craig Walker thanked the applicants for following the rules and moved to approve; a second followed, and a roll call vote recorded unanimous approval.
