Staff said the airport maintains a $3 million carryover fund for required local matches on FAA grants and outlined several partially funded projects expected to move forward when grants are finalized.
Parks and Recreation staff said Fort Utah/Bicentennial area work received a $750,000 award from the state Office of Outdoor Recreation and a partial award from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (about 40% of a $2M request, roughly $805,000). Staff said parking expansions and restroom replacements are part of the phased plan and that some projects remain partially funded.
Public Works described an update to the stormwater master plan that shifts some Franklin/Dixon drainage solutions west to a planned linear detention basin on existing railroad property rather than large detention basins in parks and schools. Staff also discussed a long‑range $60 million potential levy/levee project needed to certify flood infrastructure under FEMA standards; they said pursuing that would depend on outside funding, and that property owners should expect detailed public discussion if funding becomes available.
Councilors asked for further detail on specific line items and grants. Staff agreed to provide detailed project sheets and funding breakdowns to the council and noted that many airport projects appear in the CIP only after grants are executed.
