Superintendent search moves to community‑engagement phase; survey open through March 20

Marlon Styles of the Hamilton County Educational Service Center told the Forest Hills Board of Education on March 18 that the superintendent search has entered an intensive community‑engagement phase.

Styles said the search team has spent two weeks meeting with staff, building leaders and students and will hold evening community forums next week focused on external stakeholders. He emphasized the board's intent to capture community views for the candidate profile and said the district's online survey is open through Saturday, March 20, for those who cannot attend forums.

"We truly feel grateful and honored to be able to serve the community," Styles said, urging residents to complete the online survey and sign up on the landing page if they want to participate on interview teams.

Board members praised the outreach and noted a March 31 work session in which the board will meet in executive session to finalize the profile; if aligned, the district will post the vacancy and begin the formal application process. The chair said there will be no votes following the executive session that evening.

The board cited the search timetable and community forums as priorities; staff were asked to continue collecting survey results and schedule the public engagement sessions announced by Styles.
