Council approves several board reappointments
Summary
The council unanimously approved reappointments to multiple city advisory bodies, including the Planning Commission and several other committees; motions carried 5-0.
At the March 16 meeting the council approved multiple reappointments to boards and commissions during the appointments portion of the agenda.
Motions to reappoint Carol Riet to a five-year term on the Planning Commission; Rasheara Matur to a two-year term on the Environmental Affairs Committee; Diane Schmeid to a two-year term on the Senior Advisory Committee; and Jason Wilcox to a two-year term on the Youth Enrichment Committee were made, seconded, and approved by voice vote. The mayor noted the appointees were not present in the chamber and said the council would thank them when they are in attendance.
All motions carried unanimously (recorded as 5-0). The mayor encouraged residents to visit the city website for information on boards, committees, and commissions and to consider volunteering.
