Sue Han said Phase 1 is estimated at $45,500 and that funds have been budgeted for the work; she requested board feedback to proceed under procurement authority for Phase 1 only, with Phase 2 to return to the board for further approval. Board members encouraged a careful community engagement design and asked for a realistic schedule; staff said an initial June timeframe for Phase 1 deliverables was possible if the district elects to accelerate the work.
