Raymore council approves multiple infrastructure contracts, plats and budget amendment in unanimous votes

Raymore City Council approved several infrastructure contracts, plat approvals and a budget amendment during its March 9 meeting, voting unanimously on each item.
The council approved the second reading and adoption of Bill 4016, authorizing a contract with Terry Snelling Construction Inc. for the 2026 curb replacement and ramp repairs in the amount of $771,298.50. The council also approved the second reading of Bill 4017, a fiscal year 2026 operating budget amendment; Bill 4018, approving the Raymore Commerce Center South second final plat; and Bill 4019, approving the Creekside Ranch final plat (lots 2–20). All four items passed on unanimous votes (8–0).
On new business the council approved several public-works contracts after staff presentations. Staff recommended awarding the combined 2026 Street Preservation and North Madison reconstruction project (approximately 12 lane miles) to Tandem Paving Co., Inc. for $1,078,370.35. "Staff recommends the contract for the 2026 Street Preservation and North Madison Reconstruction be awarded to Tandem Paving in the amount of $1,078,370.35," Salisbury said during the staff report. The council voted to approve the award (motion carried unanimously 8–0).
The council also took up Bill 4021, authorizing an agreement with JM Fahey Construction Company for the 58 Highway mill-and-overlay project and ADA ramp/sidewalk/concrete repairs, in the amount of $840,197.75. Salisbury told the council the work will replace roughly 4,200 linear feet of asphalt (about 3 inches deep) on 58 Highway between Westgate and Fox Ridge; only one bid was received but it matched the engineer's estimate. The council approved the first reading and award unanimously.
For parks maintenance, the council approved Bill 4022 to award Arbor Masters a $24,800 contract for trimming, hazardous tree removal and stump grinding at TBHANA Station and two newly acquired west-side properties; the Park Board had recommended the award.
