City staff asked the council for additional time to evaluate procurement responses for a concessions operation, animal adoption/pound services and auction items, and the council agreed to delay awarding those contracts until the next meeting.
Jessica, who presented the items to council, told members the city received one bid each for the concessions operation and for animal adoption/pound services and several responses for the auction bid. She said she and Cathy needed more time to review the submissions and consult with the mayor. The council agreed to table awarding those bids.
Separately, Jessica requested permission to solicit bids for grease, oil and lubricant used primarily by the street and sanitation departments. The council moved, seconded and unanimously authorized staff to issue the solicitation.
The council did not record roll-call votes on the bid-delivery delays; the authorization to advertise for grease and oil procurement passed on a unanimous voice vote. Staff will return recommendations to the council after review and consultation with the mayor.
