Sen. Jack Bailey asks committee to back permit requirement for gaming in St. Mary’s County

Sen. Jack Bailey (District 29) said Senate Bill 357 “requires a qualified organization to hold a gaming permit whenever the qualified organization operates a gaming device in Saint Mary's County.” He told the committee the Senate measure is identical to House Bill 610, sponsored by Delegate Todd Morgan, and that the house version has already passed the House of Delegates. “I respectfully request a favorable report on senate bill 357,” Bailey said.
Bailey described the bill as an accountability and permitting requirement for organizations that operate gaming devices in the county. The transcript contains no questions from committee members during the presentation.
