Board hears staff announcement: staff member to move to community response role; Paul Thomas to assume building director duties

"I have accepted the position as community response director. So this will be my last meeting with you guys here," S3 said, and added that Paul Thomas will be sitting in to make recommendations going forward. S3 said they will oversee code enforcement, animal control, and the Fort Pierce Bridal Adoption Center in the interim.
Board members thanked S3 for roughly 11 years of service and joked about the extra workload incoming to Paul Thomas. The board noted the change in staffing and agreed staff will provide updates at future meetings as responsibilities transition.
Next steps: staff will record the personnel change in board records and Paul Thomas will be the contact for future building-code recommendations presented to the board.
