Fort Pierce reports $7.77 million in surtax balance; city readies Indian River Drive and Avenue D projects

Selena Griffith, a project engineer who presented the Fort Pierce infrastructure surtax citizens oversight committee annual report, told the commission the committee met four times in 2024 and the infrastructure account balance was $7,773,687.92 as of Sept. 30, 2025.
Griffith said total sales-tax receipts for 2024 were just over $2.9 million and expenses about $1.3 million.
