"Staff would recommend approving Abbott Fence as the lowest responsive, responsible proposer for bid package 21 and authorize me to award the contract in the amount of $648,848 plus a 10% contingency for a total of $713,732," staff told commissioners.
In a separate update, staff reported that construction began last August, the work is being completed in a single phase with multiple nodes, and roughly 25% of construction is complete. Staff said landscaped nodes near the pond and pavilion are in place, and the city plans drone and photographic marketing materials as the project progresses. Staff said the project is on track for a possible public opening in September, weather permitting.
The commission approved the contract after a motion and second.
