Hill also described ongoing projects: Marshall'site alarm/intercom punch lists, Lincoln Jackson reroof completion, Sandia gym-floor replacement and LVT flooring installed where appropriate for longevity and cleaning efficiency. The operations team is inventorying portables and planning a phased approach for a student support/learning center at Raintree tied to culinary/CTE needs.
On the Clovis High School (CHS) project, Hill said district staff are finalizing materials for a Public School Capital Outlay Commission (PSCOC) presentation on May 7 in Santa Fe. He said the district will request funding (presented in the meeting as a $100,000,000 ask) and that staff expect notification in June. Hill noted the district has had preliminary meetings with the funding body and is preparing an eight-minute, 12-slide presentation.
Hill flagged a separate, 100% PSFA-funded $4,000,000 demolition request for Cameo that will be pursued as part of facility master plan steps. Board members asked about start dates, PSFA/PSCOC cycles and construction phasing; Hill said planning could begin in the fall with an approximately 18-month planning horizon for early phases.
No formal board action was required on facilities funding at the meeting; staff sought direction and provided a status update ahead of the PSCOC presentation.
