Glynn County school board approves consent agenda and January financial report

Chair asked for additions or deletions to the agenda and called for a motion. "Moved by Mr. Jackson," the Chair said; Ms. Lee seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda. The Chair called the vote and recorded the consent agenda as approved unanimously (noted in the meeting as 5-0).
Before voting on the financial report, a board member requested a brief statement about item D-1. Staff reported that local tax revenue was "about 95% collected" with an expected collection rate of 97% and that expenditures were "in line" with expectations. After that discussion, Mr. McBade moved to approve the January 2026 financial report and Mr. Jackson seconded. The board approved the report by voice vote.
The Chair confirmed there would be no executive session that night. After a member praised recent community presentations by staff, the board accepted a motion to adjourn moved by Mr. Jackson and seconded by Ms. Lee; the Chair called the vote and the meeting ended.
Recorded formal actions at the meeting included the consent-agenda approval (moved by Mr. Jackson, seconded by Ms. Lee), the January financial report approval (moved by Mr. McBade, seconded by Mr. Jackson), and the motion to adjourn (moved by Mr. Jackson, seconded by Ms. Lee).
