The presenter described four applications and the amounts requested: McCain Sales of Florida (parking overlay, roof and roll-up door; project investment $42,787; requesting 50% or $21,394), Peacock Temple LLC (window replacements; estimated investment $60,006.99; requesting $25,000), Fort Pierce Inlet Beach Resort at 110 S. Ocean Drive (canvas awning replacement; investment about $28,540; requesting $14,002.70) and Southern Comfort Health LLC (fence replacement; investment $7,600; requesting $3,800). The presenter also reported evaluator scores: McCain Sales 192/300; Peacock Temple 155/300; Fort Pierce Inlet Beach Resort 227/300 (highest); Southern Comfort Health 149/300.
Committee members raised questions about whether certain repairs (for example, a flat roof or roll‑up garage door) should count toward the "facade" category and discussed whether the program should limit awards to one related entity. The presenter replied staff will provide scoring sheets to the advisory committee in a future round so members can perform rankings directly.
After discussion, a committee member moved to recommend approval of all four applications to the FPRA board and the motion carried. The presenter confirmed award recipients must obtain building permits within six months and complete projects within 12 months; reimbursement is made only after submitting permits, invoices and proof of completion.
The committee’s recommendation now goes to the FPRA board for final action; staff will prepare the packet with the scoring summaries and recommended conditions.
