Germantown approves two temporary beer permits for Grand Crew of Ramet events

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen, sitting in recess as the Germantown Beer Board, approved two temporary on-premise beer permits filed by the Grand Crew of Ramet. Clerk Betty told the board that permit applications, proof of nonprofit status, and public-hearing notices were included in the packet for both events.
The first permit authorizes beer sales at the Great Hall and Conference Center at 1900 South Germantown Road on Friday, Feb. 13, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Alderman Sanders moved to approve the permit, Alderman Eulicki seconded, and the roll call recorded affirmative votes from the aldermen present. Sanders noted the group's nonprofit status and that licensed servers would staff the event.
The second permit authorizes beer sales at the Great Hall and Conference Center (Carnival Memphis Club Room) on Sunday, May 31, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Alderman Sanders again moved to approve, Alderman Salvaggio seconded, and the board recorded affirmative votes and issued the permit.
Both permit votes were taken after the board closed the public-hearing portions; no members of the public spoke for or against the items during the hearings.
What’s next: Permit holders may proceed per the terms in their applications and required state regulations for temporary special-occasion licenses.
