Resident urges caution on full-time-mayor referendum, says job description and fiscal impacts missing

During the citizens-to-be-heard portion of the Germantown board meeting, Patrick Green of 2900 Oakley Lane said his earlier request to add a full-time-mayor discussion to the agenda had been largely ignored and urged more transparency. He told the board: "Citizens of Germantown are being asked to vote on a referendum for a full time mayor position that lacks a defined job description. We are essentially being asked to approve a $140,000 salary without knowing what the day to day duties will be."
Green framed his concern as procedural and fiscal: if the city creates a full-time executive mayor, he asked how existing leadership roles and compensation (including the city administrator position) would be restructured and whether the change would create cost redundancy. He asked that his concerns about the lack of a job description and potential administrative overlap be entered into the record.
Board members did not take action on the comment during the meeting; the remarks were recorded as part of the citizens-to-be-heard segment.
