Germantown board adopts zoning-code overhaul to simplify uses, tighten accessory-structure rules

Director Ross told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Feb. 9 that a package of zoning text amendments was intended to bring "clarity, consistency, and efficiency" to chapters 2, 6, 17 and 23 of the municipal code. The changes consolidate repetitive language into use and bulk tables, add modern uses, and update procedures for site-plan and conditional-use review.
