Germantown board approves consent agenda, including public-safety equipment purchases and pension-rate adjustment

The Germantown Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the consent agenda at its Dec. 8 meeting, adopting routine procurement items and a pension-rate adjustment.
Items approved included an agreement with Comcast Business for approximately $135,000 (telecommunications services); a purchase from Bryte of mobile data terminals for about $84,000 to equip public-safety responders; police vehicle equipment from Motorola for approximately $137,000; and Resolution 25 R10 to adjust the cash-balance pension discount rate from 5% to 6%.
Administration had requested that Consent item 8(b), a planned ammunition purchase for the police department, be deferred for updates; the board agreed to defer that item to a meeting on or before Jan. 26, 2026. The clerk called the roll on the consent package and recorded affirmative votes.
Officials said the public-safety purchases support first responders and that the pension-rate adjustment is a technical update intended to reflect actuarial or market-related changes.
