Alderman Sherry Hicks, who moved the consent agenda, acknowledged private donors who support local programs and events: "Metro Builders has sponsored the Youth Excellence Award," she said, and she named other donors who supported the education awards and community events. The clerk called the roll and recorded affirmative votes from the members listed; the consent agenda passed unanimously.
The mayor noted the city continues to grow, observing that the approved development contracts included a traditional subdivision, a bank and a church. The board did not pull any items for separate discussion at the meeting.
