On the facilities side, the board approved an Allred Mechanical Services contract to purchase and install a Carrier 70-ton chiller at Garner's Elementary School for $120,640. The board also approved a $340,600 contract with Southern Bleacher Company to install visitor bleachers at Fike High School and a $114,200 contract with JP Weaver Inc. for permits, site work and concrete in preparation for those bleachers. Each contract was moved, seconded and carried by recorded affirmative votes.
Administrative services also notified the board of a recurring audit contract (Anderson Smith & Weick, LLC) not to exceed $50,000 and an Allred Mechanical Services HVAC proposal for Jones Elementary (about $77,200) for information.
