The Piedmont Community Charter School board on March 17 heard a detailed finance report for February from the board treasurer, who walked trustees through monthly revenue, expenditures and fund balances.
The treasurer reported total revenue for February of about $1,903,001.23 and total expenses of $1,452,122.29, leaving a net surplus before investment of $450,878.94 and a net surplus after investment of $486,457.27. The operating, student activities and investment accounts together held $7,077,277.27 in cash on hand. The treasurer also provided an anticipated cash-and-investments position as of June 30, 2026, of $7,397,967.97 and listed fund balances including a bond fund balance of $525,889.80 and a debt-service reserve of $1,794,015.24.
A board member briefly asked whether there were plans for the repair-and-replacement account balance of 6 cents; the chair responded that they were "working on it." No formal budget votes or changes were taken at the meeting.
The board had earlier approved the prior meeting minutes unanimously, and chair remarks indicated a special facilities meeting will be scheduled at the end of the month to consider a capital purchase that requires timely vendor ordering.
