Commission approves consent agenda and multiple road and contract purchases; backs BLM trail grant support

Procurements and approvals approved by motion and voice vote included: - A contract for the annual chip-seal oil blend used by the road department (staff noted the county uses locally crushed, unwashed chips and a polymer-modified oil). - A dust-suppressant purchase for county roads (including bus routes and a reimbursed section to Nizhoni Campground under a Forest Service agreement). - Purchase of two replacement water-tanker/vacuum trucks (Peterbilt was the lowest responsive bidder) to replace vehicles from 1986 and 1991. - Approval of a standard service-provider contract with Blackridge to provide micro-funding business support in partnership with Weber State's Wildcat Micro Fund program. - Notification that the county will participate in the national opioid remittance settlement process (staff said this is the preliminary notification step; settlement documents will follow).
The commission also approved a letter of support for a Bureau of Land Management grant to buy a UTV for trail maintenance and patrol work; a BLM representative (identified as Jake) presented the request and noted partnerships with local groups.
