Chairman Joe Briggs called the Cascade County Board of Health meeting to order at 11:33 a.m. March 4 in Commission Chambers Room 105 and via Zoom. A quorum was present.
The board unanimously approved the minutes from its Feb. 4 meeting after Matt Martin moved to approve and Vice‑Chair Laurie Glover seconded. "Matt Martin made a MOTION to approve the Board of Health Minutes of February 4,2026," the minutes record; the motion carried without objection.
The board heard monthly division reports. Trista Besich presented the Finance Division monthly financials and responded to questions from Vice‑Chair Laurie Glover and Dr. Ray Geyer. Jennifer Watson presented the Environmental Health Division status report and answered a question from Geyer. Penny Paul delivered Prevention Services updates, including communicable disease information, and Ellie Crabtree presented Family Health Services’ monthly status. The minutes record board and staff comments during those reports but do not supply line-item financial totals or case counts in the written minutes.
Chairman Briggs provided an update on the public health officer hiring process; the minutes describe this as an informational briefing and do not record a final hiring decision or vote. Jennifer Watson also provided an administrative update under the public‑comment portion of the agenda.
The meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m. The minutes note the official audio record is posted at cascadecountymt.gov and with the Clerk and Recorder’s Office; the written minutes will be officially approved on April 1, 2026.
