Lakewood council forms ad hoc charter committee, approves consent agenda and routine items

Earlier in the meeting the clerk read the consent agenda, which included a supplemental appropriation of $150,000 to the 2026 revised budget recognizing Colorado Department of Local Affairs grants, an amendment to Title 1 of the Lakewood Municipal Code regarding penalty provisions, and approval of multiple sets of meeting minutes. The consent agenda was approved 10-0.
Both votes were unanimous; the charter committee motion and the consent agenda approvals will be followed by staff work and future council packets that detail membership, timelines and any recommended ordinance language.
