Commissioners discussed visible sun discoloration on a number of power-box wraps around town and agreed to conduct a full inventory to identify which panels need replacement. George reported that a vendor (Clark County Printing) can overlay new material on existing wraps rather than removing them entirely, and commissioners said some newer wraps have UV-protective coatings built into the material.
Members agreed to assemble a small team to take photos, map wrap locations and request quotes, then evaluate whether the 2021 Main Street grant or a new Main Street grant application would cover replacement costs. "They can put it on top of what's on there," George said of the vendor's approach, adding the work may require some surface preparation.
Commissioners tasked volunteers and staff to gather the inventory and bring a recommendation and quotes back to a future meeting for possible funding and next steps.
