HENDERSON — The Henderson committee voted to refer a series of zone-change bills and development agreements to the regular council meeting on April 15, 2025, and recorded an abstention by Councilwoman Cox on some items.
Staff presented a set of bills (items 1–6) that would codify map and zone changes for projects including the Inspirada Town Center (2.6 acres), West Henderson Global Business District (2.93 acres), and a new headquarters site for Community Ambulance. The committee’s clerk announced that, "with the exception of Councilwoman Cox, who abstained, all council members voted in favor of the motion," and the referrals carried.
The same meeting handled a proposed amendment to the municipal gambling regulations (HMC Chapter 4.32); Paul Beaton of the Department of Finance summarized that update, saying the revision would align city licensing procedures with the Nevada Gaming Commission and reduce duplicative city licensing when state licensing governs the entity.
