Public Works Director said the property owners had returned an appraisal but requested an additional payment that staff judged appropriate. "They had come back, and they were asking for some additional money ... it seemed to be appropriate," Public Works Director said, adding the over-appraisal amount was about $17,600.
Commissioner moved to approve the administrative settlement for Parcels 27 and 28; Chair/Commissioner seconded the motion. The presiding commissioner recorded the votes and said the motion carried.
The parcels were identified in discussion as belonging to Donald and Jamie Jones. Staff did not specify additional acquisition conditions at the meeting or give a separate timetable for closing; staff will proceed with the right-of-way acquisition process for the 49th Street widening project.
The vote was recorded on the motion to approve the administrative settlement and the motion carried as announced at the meeting.
