Ad hoc security committee votes to enter executive session on building security and personnel safety

The ad hoc committee on security assessment research voted March 26 to enter an executive session to discuss building security procedures and personnel safety. The motion was made by Bates and seconded by Roth and carried after verbal roll-call votes.

The committee convened and the chair called roll; Bates, Dubey, Roth and Gums identified themselves as present. The chair asked for approval of the minutes from April 10, 2025, which passed without objection. The chair also noted there were no public comments on the record.

During business, Bates moved “that we go into executive session for a discussion of building security procedures and personnel safety,” and Roth seconded the motion. The chair and members discussed pausing briefly if a remote attendee (Cliff) arrived and confirmed they would complete any necessary roll call once the remote participant was connected.
