Tipp City Council on March 16 introduced an ordinance (first reading) amending Section 52.02 of the Tipp City Code to create a monthly sewer charge for customers in Country Estates whose sewer usage is not currently metered.
Mr. Mack said the ordinance follows the city’s recent acquisition of Country Estates’ water and sewer systems and a study-session discussion earlier that evening. “This ordinance creates a monthly charge for customers in Country Estates, specifically, whose sewer usage is currently not metered while awaiting installation of well meters on these properties,” Mr. Mack said. He asked for a sponsor; a councilmember seconded the sponsorship and the ordinance was introduced for first reading.
No public comments were offered during the citizen-comment period on this matter. The ordinance remains at first reading and will return to council for subsequent readings and potential adoption. Details on the monthly charge amount and the schedule for meter installation were not specified during the meeting.
