Summary
The commission approved a $260,453 community corrections grant application (with an MOU required), a $150,000 one-year economic development services agreement with the Morgantown Area Partnership and several procurement and requisition actions including Harmony Grove requisition #43 and release of RFQ 2026MCC-001.
At its April 1 meeting Monongalia County commissioners approved a slate of grant applications, agreements and procurement actions, county staff and commissioners said.
The county approved submission of a community corrections grant application requesting $260,453; staff noted an accompanying memorandum of understanding with RDVIC will be required. "The requested amount is $260,453," county staff told the commission before it moved and approved the application.
Separately the commission approved a one-year economic development services agreement with the Morgantown Area Partnership (MAP) for fiscal year 2027 at $150,000, which commissioners described as the standard annual support amount. Commissioner remarks said the agreement memorializes the county's support for MAP for a one-year period.
The commission also approved requisition number 43 for the Series 2020/21B Harmony Grove Phase 1 project fund totaling $36,002.25, which staff broke down as $4,500 payable to EnRoute Properties for tree removal, $30,000 to Adrian Enterprises for project management and $1,007.00 for legal fees to Phillips, Bridal, Kaiser & Altmire.
Finally, the commission approved release of RFQ 2026MCC-001 to establish on-call facilities planning and engineering support, an updated procurement mechanism intended to reflect recent statutory changes and allow the county to issue task orders for multiple projects without repeated full RFP cycles.
All measures were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
