Jonesborough seeks LPRF grant for long-neglected Persimmon Ridge Park

Town staff and aldermen noted that a majority of users are county residents — staff cited participation figures in the 80–90% range for programs using the park.
Board members said improvements would benefit a broad segment of the community and moved to authorize the grant application. The motion passed on roll-call vote.
The board did not specify a final scope or budget in the meeting; members said they anticipate phased projects and further design and budgeting work if the grant application is successful.
