Lancaster — During opening ceremonies on March 26 the Lancaster ISD Board of Trustees celebrated student and campus achievements across the district.
Kimberly Simpson presented campus recognitions and community partnerships: TEA representatives visited Rolling Hills and Beltline elementary campuses on March 23 as part of a K–5 math implementation review; Atmos Energy and To You From Us funded book vending machines at several elementary campuses; and district human-resources job fairs yielded dozens of candidates for certificated positions.
The board also honored multiple athletic accomplishments. The Lancaster High School Lady Tigers were recognized for winning the UIL 6A Division II state championship — the first state title in program history — with multiple player and coach honors cited. Coach Howard thanked the community for its support. The board and community were invited to upcoming events including a transition/community resource fair on March 28 and early-childhood enrollment opening April 1.
