"We had changed our rules of procedure to not have virtual participation in our meetings. However, we do need to amend these rules of procedure, for March 24 through May 31 of this year in order to have a virtual option for attendance as we go through the process of hiring a new county manager," the chair said.
Commissioners offered no extended debate before moving to the vote. Commissioner Wortman (speaker 6) and others signaled support during the discussion; the motion carried unanimously. The board recorded the temporary nature and the specific date range for the amendment.
The amendment applies only to the dates specified and does not change the board's standard meeting schedule beyond May 31, 2026. No additional procedural changes were adopted at the meeting.
