At its regular meeting, the Village of Weston Board of Trustees approved a package of routine and project items by motion, including rezoning ordinances, a subdivision final plat, and multiple equipment and contract approvals.
Trustees approved Ordinance 26-004 to rezone part of 8905 Birch Street from RR-5 (rural residential) to SFS (single-family small lot) and Ordinance 26-005 to rezone a portion of 7105 Christiansen Avenue from SFL (single-family large lot) to SFS, both following planning commission recommendations.
The board approved Resolution 2026-0088 accepting the final plat for the Hinter Spring second-edition subdivision. Trustees also approved a contract amendment for storm pond engineering that allocates $15,500 as the village’s share, and authorized the purchase of sewer televising software that automates defect tagging, links video to GIS mapping, and uses cloud storage to free local server space.
Other approvals included purchase of a commercial rotary mower, park shelter fee and field rental cost updates, an Eagle Scout project funding approach, a well rehabilitation project, a sign encroachment agreement with Seventh Floor Investments LLC, and several street and repaving items including a hospital-area repaving change order. These items were carried by voice or roll-call votes as recorded on the agenda.
